Please see below for a room by room guide. We hope to add further adaptations and equipment to the bungalow over the coming years. We have a local supplier who can provide equipment at very reasonable prices should you need to hire something extra- please use the contact form to request the suppliers details.
All doorways have at least a minimum opening width of 86cm apart from the small ensuite bathroom.

Various different lighting arrangements to suit all needs. Coat and shoe storage next to entrance doorway. All rooms have a Smart TV and the bungalow has high speed broadband.
Kitchen
This is open plan onto the lounge/dining area. The kitchen has a side opening microwave and an oven with pull out integrated wheelchair accessible work surface. Side mounted tap for easier access. Low level storage of crockery and equipment. Pull out larder food storage cupboard. Breville Hotcup water dispenser alongside a standard kettle. Please note that due to space constraints there is no washing machine or dryer at the property, however, there are washing machines and dryers less than a mile away at Siop Ellis/post office which are really accessible.
Bedroom 1 (Accessible Room)
This room has been fully adapted to support people with the most complex health needs. It has an H frame ceiling hoist and high low profiling bed with sides. The second bed is a chair which can be used by carers then turned into a full size single bed with upgraded memory foam topped mattress. The bed wall has 10 double sockets at both standard and waist height to allow for all required equipment. We have added plenty of storage in this room which includes 2 moveable trollies. We have added wall lights which can be controlled from a main switch and also a switch on each light for ease of use, plus ceiling spot lights which can be positioned to suit the individual. This room has direct level access to the garden and a deck with ramp, leading to the main seating area. The accessible wet-room is attached to this bedroom although the track hoist does not follow through to the bathroom due to ceiling heights and a structural beam. Low level garment hanging rails and clothes storage. The room is set up for 2 profiling beds therefore a second can be hired at a reasonable cost locally if necessary. Our local supplier can also loan a bed extension if necessary. We hope to add an adult Careflex chair very soon.
Ensuite Wet-room (Accessible Room)
Attached to main adapted bedroom with 1m wide door is the modern style accessible wet-room. It has level access with dual headed shower. The sink is roll under and has a very large low level light up mirror. The bathroom has a separate sink which we use as a medication area. There are ceiling lights and also a wall light to allow carers to prepare medication discreetly over night when necessary. There is a long projection toilet with drop down hand rails. Aquatec tilt in space commode shower chair is available for use. Height adjustable shower trolley. Drop down hand rails and wall hung seat around the shower area.
Bedroom 2 (Double Room)
This room has a king size bed and a small en suite. Its modern with both ceiling and wall lights, a vanity area and open plan clothes storage.
Ensuite (Double Room)
This is a small, modern and efficient space with sink, toilet and duel head shower. This room is not accessible due to size and a step into the shower.
Bedroom 3 (Flexi Room)
The room will suit many people due to its flexibility. It has a double and single bed, both of which are electric foot and head recliners. It has patio doors leading outside to a small bench seating area. A desk/vanity area with large mirror and wall lights over each bed with a large smart TV. The outdoor access from this room is classed as an emergency exit and has a small step to the outside with a gate that leads to the main outside seating areas.
Bedroom 4 (Twin Room)
This twin bedroom has 2 single beds with sprung Geltex mattresses, sockets beside each bed with a USB port and a seated vanity area.
Main Bathroom
This room is a wet-room with dual headed electric shower level access, including doorway and tiled shower area. The room has a modern and vibrant feel with wall hung vanity basin and toilet.
Hallway
The hallway leads off the kitchen and to all the bedrooms and bathrooms. It has been widened to allow adequate turning circle into each widened doorway. There is a sensor light which will activate automatically when entering.
Garden area
The outside space is at the front of the property and is accessed from the main lounge area and the accessible bedroom. There is a tarmac parking area alongside a large grass area with covered seating/dining for 9 people. Access to the seating area is via a ramp. The seating is a large U shaped sofa with rise and fall dining table. There is plenty of space to fit wheelchairs around the table. The garden is well lit with string bulb lights around the gazebo and lights attached to the house.
Parking
Mainly tarmac hard standing. We did extend the parking area slightly which has been stoned but there is still plenty of hard standing. There is room for 5/6 cars including a wheelchair accessible vehicle with space for the ramp on hard standing area.
The bungalow is on the A5 which can be noisy but is important from an accessibility point of view. We found it difficult to navigate the winding country roads of Anglesey due to our family member becoming extremely travel sick so we chose a central location. This also allowed to find a property with enough space both inside and out. To negate the noise of the road we have installed Acoustic glass in the windows and also placed the main outdoor seating area well away, set back from the road.
